Japanese Gashapon toys keep getting stranger and we couldn’t be happier about it. We’ve seen sushi cats, banana birds, bread dogs, and even taxidermy mounts come to life. Today we learned about an awesomely odd new series of capsule toys featuring anthropomorphic banana peels with blushing cheeks and tiny noses.
Created by Kitan Club, they’re called “Banana no moe poozu ga iyou ni kawaii ken”, which roughly translates as “The Case of the Banana’s Poses Being Strangely Cute.” Their name is as awkward and wonderful as the figures themselves:
If you need unsettlingly cute anthropomorphic banana peel friends in your life (and who doesn’t?) but are nowhere near any capsule toy machines, it looks like there are at least a couple sets currently available for purchase via eBay.
